My Unit (Name and Group) Drop-Down Menu Navigation

Using this dropdown menu, a lab admin can edit unit settings such as adding new users to the lab, making changes to unit settings, viewing reports and more. All users can change their password, change to PHI Redacted Mode (after logging in), view the License Agreement, view grossing templates, or logout. See more details on this menu below:

 

 

From top to bottom,

  1. Users: Here you can manage users for your laboratory group including adding new users, changing permissions and disabling user accounts.

  2. Unit: Here you can view and manage information related to your lab including general user information, performance stats, kit supply, specimen tracking, scanner information and contact information.

  3. Insurance: This is where rules can be created to route specimens to different laboratories or pathology groups based on insurance providers and you can manage insurance groups.

  4. Default Stains: Here you can manage default stains for each pathology group and for ancillary tests.

  5. QA Reports: This feature allows for PDF reports to be easily generated for several metrics. The date filter allows the report to be focused to a certain timeframe. 

  6. Scanner Logs: For laboratories with a whole slide scanner, this feature allows the lab to monitor the scanning and uploading process for each individual slide.

  7. Send Outs: Here you can view the log of what’s been sent out.

  8. Change Password: Change your current password.

  9. Redacted Mode: Select this to remove PHI from the main screen BxLink. Please note that not all PHI will be removed because it will still appear in patient records, attached documents, etc. It is your responsibility to protect PHI at all times.

  10. License Agreement: Click this to view the End User License Agreement that all users agree to in order to access BxLink.

  11. Grossing Template: The grossing template page has an option to create a new grossing template or searching an existing template.

  12. Logout: Click this to log out of BxLink

 

While redacting PHI will remove patient names and DOB from the main BxLink screen, be advised that there may be viewable PHI within any given patient record, including attached documents and free-text fields such as Case Notes. It is your responsibility to protect PHI at all times per HIPAA guidelines.
