Preliminary Reports
Generating a preliminary report
Preliminary reports can be created for early communication to clinics and patients. Approving a preliminary report triggers faxes, emails, and integrations like other reports, but it does not change the encounter’s status, so a final report may still be expected. Each encounter can only have one preliminary report, and the preliminary report must be created before the encounter’s final report. Prominent lettering and a watermark are included in preliminary reports to make it clear that the report is not final.
The ability to use preliminary reports is restricted because EMRs may need to be adjusted to properly handle them. If you are interested in using preliminary reports, please contact Lumea.
